– Dodang Gut, Antaek Gut and Saenam Gut, which were popular in the Gyeonggi-do area (including Seoul), are original forms of a traditional ceremony and culture during which one prays for the well-being and luck of the nation, households and individuals. As this traditional culture is losing ground through the modern and present age due to the influx of Western cultures, we hope that this demonstration, Gyeonggi Millennium Gut, will be an opportunity for people to understand Korea’s intangible culture and recognize the importance of its transmission.

– Good! Gut! performance begins with a body performance in which dancers of Eun Me Ahn Company run non-stop. The brake-less performance by the dancers awakes the body and soul, which are houses of senses, and lead to individual movements that find nature’s rhythm as a body of life. In addition to joy, melody and the heart that prays for well-being and the safety of lives, the cast hopes to present a modern Gut unique to Ahn Eun-me.
