Most of the discussions on Eurasian myths have been formed with a focus on sedentary farmers. However, the reason for the are discovery of common mythical symbols and motifs in different spaces and times is the dissemination and distribution by the movement of the people. Similar stories can be generated spontaneously in different regions, but almost all myths were first created by a certain network of people and shared by them until they reached certain other regions. In this sense, it is very important to look into the Eurasian myths as the stories of the cultural and historical communities who moved along the plains of the tundra, taiga, and desert.

Over this course, you will take the time to discover the route of the myths. It is the road of the plains from the coast of the Baltic Sea on the northern part of the Eurasian continent to the Bering Sea. First, you will have an overview of the myths and cultures of many cultural and historical communities in the form of a journey to Eurasia. Then, starting from the Baltic Sea in northern Europe, you will look into the Slavic myths and Russian fairy tales, and interpret the related artworks including literature, dance, music, and film. Next, you will explore the various myths of the northern races, which are now part of China from a territorial point of view. You will also learn about Baikal, the starting point of the Eurasian continent, the myths around the region, the relation between the Geser and Dangun myths, shamanism as a religion, and the ancient myths of the goddesses of northeast Asia, which have been ignored in records but infused in our spirits.
