Contents
– Whilst museum policies and art museum policies have been separated thus far, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is currently establishing an integrated development plan that encompasses policies of national, public and private university museum and art museums
– Instead of policies that merely aim at increasing the number of visitors at museums and art museums, the integrated development plan will contain polices in multilateral aspects, including the expansion of cultural arts enjoyed in everyday lives, the execution of roles as the central agency for cultural activities in the region, the acceptance of cultural diversity and changing trends of agencies in a digital environment
– Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation, which runs six museums and art museums in line with the new integrated development plan of museums and art museums, hosts a forum that inspects their present and predicts their future
– This forum is a place for discussion on how to set the policy direction of public museums with an emphasis on the transformation of museums based on changes in a smart environment, the expansion of roles as a regional cultural foundation facility, and the reinforcement of public nature and professionalism of the foundation’s museums and art museums
