The NJP Salon at the Nam June Paik Art Center will hold a contemporary culture and art course for those who love art. Offering a new view of reading contemporary art, the first theme of the 2018 NJP Salon is ‘Art and Counterculture’. Together with the Nam June Paik exhibition “More than 30 minutes”, this course will explore the flow of counterculture of the utopia movement in the 1960s that attempted to surpass limits through artistic imagination. It will also explore art and ideologies through understanding of ‘affection’, which refers to the transition of the senses and flow of emotions that are covered in the exhibition “Common Front, Affectively”.
