The Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation planned public art projects for many local areas, and their themes were determined through collaboration with local residents and various contemporary art genres will be used. Dongducheon has established a colorful cultural space in the local area thanks to its graffiti art. Siheung turned an ordinary breakwater into a new installation artwork Oido People and the Silk Road of Ocean, a global breakwater relay campaign. Jeongok Port in Hwaseong completed the light of Hwaseong with the public art project Media Art. In Paju at the Imjin River a public art project Bridge–Don’t Forget was held under the theme of peace. The public art project features the local area’s history and background and creates artwork that allows locals to coexist in harmony together.
